Cheering Camp

Kara spent this past weekend(saturday-tuesday) at an NCA Cheerleading Camp at Husson University in Bangor. Three full days of non-stop cheering.....she had a great time...learned some new routines and learned to be a valuable team member. She received a nomination for All-American Cheerleader and her team brought home plenty of ribbons, trophies and of course the coveted Spirit Stick. Tuesday was friend and family time when we could watch them compete and see what they had learned during the time we were there...and of course it had to be the hottest day of the summer...I think the sun knew that hundreds of people would be crammed into a gymnasium that day and wouldn't it be funny to make them even more uncomfortabe.
Kara has slept in the last couple of days and even hasn't felt up to fighting with her brother. You feel like you really get your monies worth when they come home completely exhausted.
